Emergency Preparedness

A few important things for parents to know:

• Please understand that the safety of our students comes first. In the case of an emergency all of our efforts will focus on maintaining a secure environment.
• Prayer will be the most important first step in any situation.
• Secondly, realize that your children are safe at school. You should listen to the radio and respond appropriately as directed by local authorities.
• We will be in contact with local emergency personnel to assist us with any contingency.
• We will use our website, www.westcoastschool.org, to communicate to families. Follow the instructions you find there.
• Please make sure that the school has your most recent phone numbers. We will be in contact with you if needed.
• If an emergency dismissal is required, please realize that school personnel will be primarily concerned for the safety of our students. This may slow down the normal dismissal process but it will be safer for all involved.
