Westcoast School For Human Development Handbook Revised 8/2004 The Westcoast School For Human Development, the Board of Education and its administration are happy that you have chosen to be a part of the Westcoast family. Whether you are a new family or veteran family, you are a vital part of the mission of Westcoast. The love of Christ is what binds us together. We trust that you will experience that love. As you know, every good family needs rules and procedures to function in harmony. The Westcoast School handbook is a valuable document that should be read by both parents and students. It contains important policies and procedures. Without such an instrument, we would not be able to function on one accord. Enrollment and attendance at Westcoast School implies acceptance of the school's policies and procedures. With complete cooperation and a collective effort, true Christian education is possible. You are a valued family member with a significant role. Together we will work toward the purpose that God has ordained for us. With His guiding hand we will see the student body of Westcoast develop the knowledge and wisdom it takes to affect our world. A school is not static. Changes in policy and procedure are expected as the need arises. This handbook shall not constitute an agreement or contract between students/parents and Westcoast School either expressed or implied. It shall serve only as a tool to communicate the intentions of the school at the time of its revision. The Student/Parent Handbook may be altered by the School Board and administration to address particular circumstances and further, may be amended by the School Board and administration at any time.
